I've had the opportunity to try many things in my life. My first job was delivering newspapers during junior high. Then later I actually worked at a newspaper in the subscription department. I also worked at a funeral home & the Chicago Mercantile Exchange during college. But mostly I've been involved with
my two greatest loves, computers & music.

My mother got me started on computer pretty early. My first computer was an Atari 400. Purchased in 1979 for the entire family, I'm pretty sure I managed to monopolize it most of the time. Later I purchased my very own Commodore 64. I actually had several of these, and still own several today.

I worked my way through college, working for the college. I was in charge of the computer lab. The computers at that time were pretty primitive. The machine of choice were Royal Business Machines computers running CP/M. (Remember them? Not many do.) The last year I worked for the college we got our first Macintosh computer. That was 1985. That was about the time music began ruling my life, so after a very brief encounter with Macintosh computers, my envolvement with them would have to wait several more years.
